This position serves as a critical support pillar for the Field Service Supervisor, ensuring the efficient operation of Field Service Repairs while exceeding the expectations of both internal teams and external customers. The role bridges the gap between technical field operations and administrative coordination, focusing on optimizing repair timelines, managing parts logistics, and maintaining rigorous safety and quality standards.
In this capacity, you will act as the primary liaison between Field Service Technicians, Service Administrators, and customers. Your day involves coordinating technician activities, sourcing technical information, and managing parts identification to minimize non-productive mileage and repair delays. You will be responsible for defining the scope of work for prospective jobs by researching historical data, manufacturer databases, and campaign information before work begins. A key aspect of the role is ensuring customer alignment; you will communicate progress, secure approvals for scope changes, and provide accurate estimates for parts and labor, requiring written confirmation from the customer before implementation.
Beyond daily coordination, you will conduct monthly and quarterly job reviews with management, oversee field safety protocols through in-person inspections and virtual meetings, and assist in the safe assembly or disassembly of new and used equipment. The role demands a balance of administrative precision and field oversight to reduce repair costs and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
