The Field Operations Program Manager serves as a critical leader within the Community Safety Department, tasked with planning and overseeing the operations of behavioral health responder teams. This role is designed to ensure cohesive, high-quality service delivery by directly managing supervisors and support staff while coordinating closely with other management divisions.
In this safety-sensitive position, you will formulate policies and procedures in strict accordance with Federal and State regulations. The role requires active collaboration with Emergency Communications Centers of Police and Fire Rescue Departments to establish call assignment protocols, monitor response times, and coordinate co-responses. You will also represent the department in meetings with service providers and public organizations, providing complex support to higher-level management.
This position operates within a hybrid environment, including office settings with computer usage and frequent field travel. The role demands the ability to work under potentially abusive, hazardous, or emergency conditions. Employees must be prepared to maintain physical condition for extended periods of standing, walking, kneeling, crouching, and climbing. Flexibility is essential, as the role requires working nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a comprehensive background investigation conducted by the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) of the FBI. Candidates must possess a valid New Mexico Driver's License and be able to obtain a City Operator's Permit within six months of hire. Additionally, successful completion of the ACS Academy and all initial requirements is mandatory within six months of transfer or hire.

Four (4) years of supervisory experience in one or more elements of a comprehensive social service or health related field. Possession of any of the following licenses or certifications: Licensed Masters of Social Work (LMSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP), Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS), or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
