Triad Service Center is seeking a Field Equipment Installer based in the Bangor, ME area to support a variety of light industrial equipment. This mobile position involves installing, repairing, and maintaining diverse assets such as restaurant grease containment units, checkout lanes, and retail racking systems within large industrial and commercial locations.
As a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, you will operate within the framework of each customer's business structure, ensuring outstanding service and quality. The role requires utilizing a company vehicle for regional travel, with the ability to work up to 300 miles per day. While the schedule is primarily Monday through Friday with an average of 40 hours, occasional overnight travel, weekend work, and after-hours emergency calls may be required.
In this hands-on role, you will unpack, catalog, and confirm parts before installing new equipment at customer-designated locations. Your day-to-day tasks include realigning mechanical components like spindles and clutches, installing and repairing electronic machinery components, and testing operations by starting machines post-repair. You will also perform physical tasks such as drilling through concrete and building walls, while maintaining detailed records of work orders, parts, and supplies.
You will treat all company equipment—including vehicles, tools, tablets, and phones—with the same care as your own, adhering to strict maintenance guidelines. The position demands high attention to detail, safety compliance, and the ability to interpret technical documents, safety rules, and procedure manuals.
Triad Service Center provides a company vehicle, tablet, cell phone, and paid training to support your success. While basic standard and metric mechanical tools, a gear puller, and a three-drawer tool chest are required, the company supports your ability to purchase or borrow these items if necessary.
