About the Role
Join our fleet maintenance team to ensure the reliability of our heavy-duty commercial diesel equipment. In this 3rd shift position (Sunday through Thursday, 10 PM to 6 AM), you will be the backbone of our operations, performing preventative maintenance and critical repairs on tractors, trailers, bobtails, and lift gates. This role is designed for technicians who thrive in a fast-paced environment and take pride in keeping our fleet moving safely and efficiently.
Work Environment
You will be working onsite at a US Foods maintenance facility. The role requires the ability to work in extreme temperatures and weather conditions. As part of our team, you will collaborate with fleet technicians, drivers, coordinators, and managers to maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment.
Application Instructions
Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and be willing to furnish their own personal hand tools. We are looking for individuals with at least one year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic, along with a high school diploma or equivalent. Please note that this position requires a flexible schedule and the capacity to assume increased responsibility and certifications over time.

Key Responsibilities

Requirements
- verifiedHigh school diploma or equivalent
- verified1 year of verifiable hands-on experience as a heavy-duty commercial diesel mechanic

- verifiedValid Class A CDL license and DOT certification (preferred)
- verifiedExperience with Maximo fleet maintenance system (preferred)

Nice to Have
Valid Class A CDL license and DOT certification. Experience with Maximo fleet maintenance system. Previous mechanical and PM program experience. Experience using fleet maintenance software. Welding ability.
