TAS is a Houston-headquartered company and a subsidiary of Comfort Systems USA, a publicly traded entity known for outstanding value, integrity, and customer focus. We deliver innovative packaged modular systems engineered and manufactured in our five ISO 9001 certified facilities in Houston. Our products are utilized in data centers, power, and commercial/industrial utility applications across 33 countries.
Our fastest-growing business is the data center market. By applying deep expertise in cooling, thermodynamics, and power, TAS has developed a product line that revolutionizes data center delivery. We offer the best of both worlds: the entrepreneurial culture and small-company feel of a specialized team, backed by the resources, talent, and international reach of a large corporation.
The Field Service Technician II serves as a critical bridge between our manufacturing operations and our clients, providing essential field support for mechanical and electrical systems. This role is designed for a technician who thrives in dynamic construction environments and takes ownership of the commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and retrofit of complex project systems.
You will be responsible for the direct commissioning of mechanical portions of projects, as well as the startup, preventative maintenance, and service of vertical turbine pumps, cooling towers, centrifugal chillers, and variable frequency drives. Your work ensures that equipment meets rigorous quality assurance requirements and complies with industry standards such as ASHRAE and ASME.
A significant part of your day involves close collaboration with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Quality Departments, and client personnel. You will compile and transmit critical Operation and Maintenance (O&M) information, create legible "red-line" drawings, and assist in the final compilation of IOM manuals. This position requires the ability to work independently at job sites while maintaining a high level of safety and documentation standards.
Candidates with significant project field experience in construction support, startup, repair, and maintenance are encouraged to apply. Please note that applications and resumes are kept on file for a limited time. If you are not selected for this position, the company is under no obligation to contact you regarding future openings; interested candidates should submit a new application for future roles.
TAS Energy Inc. guarantees equal employment opportunities to all qualified applicants without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, or national origin.
We maintain a tobacco-free workplace policy. Individuals are not allowed to smoke or use tobacco or nicotine products on TAS premises, while conducting TAS business off-premises, or during working hours. This policy applies to all forms of tobacco, including cigarettes, e-cigarettes, cigars, pipes, vaping, and smokeless tobacco.
