About the Role
The Fencing Technician at G P Roadway Solutions (Oahu Branch - Rentals) is a vital union position responsible for the fabrication, maintenance, and installation of fencing solutions. This role exists to ensure the safety and security of various sites, including military facilities, by delivering high-quality fencing services in all weather conditions.
As a Technician, you will be the hands-on expert in the field, managing the entire lifecycle of fencing projects. Your day involves fabricating custom panels, repairing damaged materials, and operating specialized equipment like aerial bucket trucks and pneumatic post drivers. You will work collaboratively with a crew to load and unload materials, ensuring that every job site remains organized and safe. This position requires a blend of technical dexterity, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
Hiring Process & Requirements
This is a union position. Candidates not currently in the Laborer's union will be required to join prior to their start date. The role demands a valid Hawaii driver's license, a clean traffic abstract, and the ability to meet DOT requirements for non-CDL commercial drivers. Additionally, successful candidates must pass a background check to obtain the necessary security clearance for accessing military facilities.
