About the Role
The Livestock Production Specialist serves as a vital partner to the livestock and lifestyle product portfolio, driving demand and cultivating deep relationships with dealers and cooperatives. This role is designed for individuals passionate about agriculture and animal care who are eager to translate technical expertise and market knowledge into exceptional customer service.
You will focus on grass cattle, dairy, and equine owners, evaluating their existing feeding programs and recommending Purina-backed nutritional solutions. As a remote, field-based sales representative, you will operate autonomously within a territory north of Mankato, Minnesota. Your day-to-day involves conducting up to 25 farm or facility visits, engaging in on-farm interactions regardless of weather conditions, and leading educational events to build brand awareness and customer loyalty.
This position offers the opportunity to manage an existing book of business from day one, leveraging established customer relationships while introducing innovative feed products and programs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to execute product strategies and marketing initiatives, ensuring you deliver value in every customer interaction through a deep understanding of Purina's research, innovation, and sustainability efforts.
