Cherokee Federal is a division of tribally owned federal contracting companies owned by Cherokee Nation Businesses. As a trusted partner for over 60 federal clients, our mission is to build a brighter future, solve complex challenges, and serve the government's mission with compassion and heart.
The Federal Recruiter leads full-cycle recruitment for union-covered roles across federal programs. This position exists to ensure strict adherence to collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), federal hiring regulations, and organizational staffing goals while balancing operational demands with contractual compliance.
You will partner closely with Union Leadership, Labor Relations, Operations, and HR to navigate the complexities of union hiring. Your day-to-day involves interpreting CBA provisions to guide posting, selection, and offer processes, managing internal bidding windows, and applying seniority-based selection rules. You will serve as the bridge between labor management and recruitment, providing timely updates on contractual steps and escalating issues that may impact compliance or trigger disputes.
Candidates must be prepared to pass pre-employment qualifications, as many openings require access to government buildings or military installations.
Cherokee Federal is a military-friendly employer, and veterans and active military transitioning to civilian status are strongly encouraged to apply. We consider all qualified applicants for employment without regard to protected veteran status, disability, or any other status protected under applicable federal, state, or local law.
