Broken Arrow High School is dedicated to fostering a safe, orderly, and engaging learning environment where students can thrive. Our mission centers on continuous school improvement and increasing student achievement through a commitment to district-approved curriculum and collaborative excellence.
As a General Education Classroom Teacher, you will be the primary guide for students as they navigate their educational journey. This role exists to transform the district's curriculum into meaningful learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of every student. You will not only teach approved content but also cultivate a classroom climate that is appropriate to the maturity and interests of the student body.
Your day will involve employing a variety of instructional techniques to maximize time on task, ensuring that non-instructional routines are minimized. You will establish clear short-term and long-term objectives for all lessons, communicating these goals directly to students to guide their learning process. Beyond the classroom, you will actively participate in collaborative planning and data analysis with peers, contributing to district initiatives and professional development opportunities designed to enhance instructional strategies.
Building strong partnerships is central to this position. You will communicate regularly with parents and guardians, both during and outside of contract hours, to support student success. Additionally, you will maintain accurate records, ensure student safety through proactive precautions, and perform any other duties assigned by the superintendent and principal to maintain the integrity of our educational programs.
Candidates interested in joining the Broken Arrow High School faculty are encouraged to apply through the district's official channels. The selection process prioritizes individuals who demonstrate sound judgment, the ability to adapt to changing assignments, and a professional image in all communications. Successful candidates will be expected to meet the district's attendance expectations of at least 95%.
