The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Software Engineering organization designs, develops, and demonstrates avionics solutions for the F-22 Raptor, the premier 5th generation air superiority fighter flown only by the United States Air Force (USAF). The F-22 Simulation Infrastructure team is dedicated to creating and maintaining the simulation environment and infrastructure used to support the development and testing of advanced capabilities for this aircraft.
As a Simulation Software Engineer (Associate, Experienced, or Senior), you will work as a member of an agile team to build the models and frameworks that support software engineers and hardware/software integration labs throughout the enterprise. Your work will be utilized in desktop development environments and labs to ensure the safety, durability, and performance of the F-22 Raptor's systems throughout the entire product lifecycle.

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Chemistry. 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience in designing, developing, integrating, applying, and testing software models, simulations, framework environments, tools, and applications with higher order programming languages, assembly, and auto-code. Experience with performing Application Programming Interface (API) design, implementation, and testing. Experience in real-time software architecture and design methodologies to synthesize models and simulation frameworks that meet real-time requirements, including knowledge of real-time target environments, processor and network architecture, communication protocols, and electrical interfaces. Experience with building and execution environments that include hosts, processors, operating systems, and networks. Experience with verification, validation, certification, and qualification processes. Experience with cloud architecture, including different types of clouds (public, private, and hybrid), cloud platforms, and components (computing, storage, and networking). Experience with containerization technologies, including managing containers, deploying applications in a containerized environment, and troubleshooting issues. Experience in networking concepts, including IP addressing, subnetting, routing, and security (focus on security best practices and technologies).
