Sierra Donor Services is seeking an External Affairs Director to join our team in New Mexico. This dynamic role is designed to increase the organization's reach and community standing through strategic engagement and organ/tissue donation registration awareness initiatives.
In this position, you will represent the organization at a wide array of community events, pursuing vital community and corporate partnerships. You will serve as the primary point of contact for community service organizations, legislative staff, government and business leaders, DMVs, and hospitals. The role involves directing community relations programs that effectively promote donation to save and enhance lives, while also managing public education staff and overseeing the efficiency of donation-related events.
You will play a key role in legislative representation, working with local, state, and federal government entities to protect organizational interests and monitor regulatory activities. Collaborating closely with senior leadership and the Communications Director, you will help shape the strategic goals and vision of the organization, contributing to public relations, legislative affairs, and marketing collateral. This role requires travel and the ability to represent the company with poise and engagement in public speaking scenarios.
