Who We Are

Fueled by passion and urgency, the National Kidney Foundation is a lifeline for all people affected by kidney disease. As pioneers of scientific research and innovation, NKF focuses on the whole patient through the lens of kidney health. Relentless in our work, we enhance lives through action, education, and accelerating change.

Our Mission and Values

NKF's mission drives what we do, while our values define how we do it. We believe in accountability, collaboration, communication, community, compassion, and impact. We are committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected, and heard, reflecting the communities we serve.

About the Role

As the Development Director for the Colorado and New Mexico market, you will serve as an ambassador for the National Kidney Foundation, leading fundraising initiatives and managing the logistics of signature events. This role is critical to achieving the market's financial goals and supporting patient and professional programs. You will direct the planning and execution of major events, including the Great Chefs of the West Gala, Golf Classic, and Area Kidney Walks, while stewarding a portfolio of corporate and individual relationships to drive growth.

In this position, you will foster a donor-centric culture, manage a team including a Development Manager, and engage volunteers and committees. You will work in a flexible hybrid environment based in Denver, CO, with the ability to travel within Colorado and occasionally beyond. The role requires a dynamic leader who can balance strategic planning with the hands-on execution of high-touch fundraising campaigns.

Hiring Process

We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven professional to join our team. If you are passionate about kidney health and have a proven track record in nonprofit fundraising and event management, we invite you to apply. Your voice matters in our mission to accelerate change.

Equal Opportunity

At the National Kidney Foundation, diversity, inclusion, and equal opportunity apply to both our workforce and the communities we serve. It is our policy to provide equality of employment opportunity regardless of race, creed, color, qualified handicap or disability, national origin, religion, marital status, sexual orientation, age, gender, political affiliation, or veteran status. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
