This position serves as an Experienced Registered Nurse within the Endoscopy Department, potentially filled at the RN I, II, or III level depending on your experience and education. As a member of the team, you will model the OU Health Way through your work output and interactions, advancing from a novice to a competent practitioner.
In this role, you will align your behaviors with OU Health values while assuming responsibility for an assigned group of patients. Your day-to-day involves assisting physicians in examinations and performing minor diagnostic procedures, obtaining and monitoring physiological data, and intervening when necessary. You will administer medications, initiate and regulate intravenous infusions and blood products, and ensure patient care is delivered safely and competently.
Beyond clinical duties, you will play a key role in patient advocacy and education. This includes resolving patient complaints in a timely manner, informing patients and families about hospital procedures and care plans, and making referrals regarding patient care needs. You will also foster a growth mindset by seeking mentorship, remaining open to coaching, and maintaining professional certifications to perpetually develop your skills.
