As an Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Perioperative Circulator in Adult Surgery, you will provide the highest quality of care to patients facing health problems ranging from simple to complex. This role is designed for nurses at levels I, II, or III, depending on your experience and education. You will model the OU Health Way through your work output and interactions, ensuring patient care is delivered safely and competently.
In this position, you will assume responsibility for assigned patients, documenting responses to interventions and monitoring physiological data. You will assist physicians in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures, administer medications, and manage intravenous infusions and blood products. A key part of your day involves resolving patient complaints, informing patients and families about procedures and care plans, and making necessary referrals. You will also delegate tasks to clinical support staff and collaborate with department leadership to establish personal performance goals aligned with enterprise-wide metrics.
