The Adult Surgical Services Unit at University of Oklahoma Medical Center is a hub of life-saving care, supported by state-of-the-art facilities and a team of expert surgeons and nurses. As a cornerstone of OU Health's Level 1 Trauma Center, the unit covers all major service lines including Trauma, Transplant, Cardiovascular, Women's, Neuro, Orthopedic, and General Surgery. Through community outreach, education, and research, the group continues to drive medical advancements in trauma and surgical care.
As an Experienced Registered Nurse (RN) in the Perioperative Circulator role, you will be a vital member of the surgical team, providing critical care to patients facing complex health challenges. Whether you are a novice advancing to competence or an experienced professional, your work will directly impact patient outcomes in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. In this position, you will manage assigned patients, document responses to interventions, assist physicians with examinations and procedures, and monitor physiological data. Your day will involve administering medications, regulating IV infusions, and advocating for patient safety and comfort. Beyond clinical duties, you will foster a growth mindset by seeking mentorship, engaging in continuous professional development, and contributing to an inclusive workforce where individual differences are maximized to achieve the organization's mission.
