As an Experienced Registered Nurse in Pediatric Vascular Access, you will provide specialized care to pediatric patients, managing vascular access needs with safety and competence. This role is designed for nurses at Levels I, II, or III, depending on your experience and education, allowing you to advance from a novice to a competent practitioner.
You will model the OU Health Way in your interactions with employees and patients, ensuring a supportive environment for both staff and families. Your day involves assuming responsibility for assigned patients, documenting responses to interventions, and collaborating with physicians during examinations and minor procedures. You will monitor physiological data, administer medications, and manage intravenous infusions and blood products. Beyond clinical duties, you will advocate for patients, resolve complaints, and share care plans with families, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout their hospital stay.
This position is critical to the success of our Pediatric Vascular Services.
