Oklahoma Children's Pediatric Dialysis is the only dialysis center for children in the entire state of Oklahoma. Our small, dedicated team of eight provides comprehensive care for both chronic and acute kidney failure. We operate a clinic with six bays and extend our services to ICU bedside treatments, hospital peritoneal dialysis, and home care. Our team trains families to perform peritoneal dialysis at home, monitoring them through a cloud-based system while maintaining monthly appointments. While our primary clinic hours are Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, we frequently accommodate home patients on Tuesdays and Thursdays. To ensure continuous safety, one of our nurses remains on call 24/7/365.
As an OU Health Registered Nurse (Levels I-III), you will provide the highest quality of care to pediatric patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex. You will model the OU Health Way by living our core values: putting Patients First, pursuing Relentless Excellence, showing Integrity, seeking Inclusion, always Learning, and valuing Teamwork. This role is designed for nurses advancing from novice to competent, where you will rely on established rules and begin to formulate independent principles based on real-world experience. You will manage assigned patients, document responses to interventions, assist physicians with examinations and procedures, and administer medications and IV infusions. Your day involves observing physiological manifestations, resolving patient complaints, and collaborating with support staff to ensure safe, competent care. You will also foster a growth mindset by seeking mentorship, accepting feedback, and maintaining professional certifications.
Current OU Health employees should log in via the internal portal to apply. New applicants are encouraged to review the comprehensive benefits package, which includes PTO, 401(k), and medical and dental plans, designed to provide peace of mind for you and your family.
