About the Role

As an Experienced Marine Electrician, you will join a dynamic team supporting the U.S. Navy and the Close In Weapon Systems (CIWS) program in Norfolk, Virginia. Based in the beautiful surroundings of Chesapeake, you will work on-board U.S. Naval Ships and military installations to deliver high-profile projects. This role involves planning and conducting complex, non-routine assignments, ranging from complete projects of limited scope to specific portions of larger, diverse initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with the customer and fellow Serco team members to ensure quality work. Your day-to-day will involve selecting and adapting plans and designs, coordinating with related personnel to resolve issues, and reviewing the technical work of others. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and constructing major units and equipment, conducting tests to evaluate performance, and analyzing results to modify equipment for improvement. Additionally, you may assist in training lower-level technicians and preparing detailed specifications, parts lists, and reports on findings.
