About the Role

As a Meat Department Team Member, you will be the expert behind the counter, ensuring our members receive the highest quality fresh and processed meats. You will receive, rotate, cut, wrap, and merchandise fresh and processed meats, including grinds. Your role extends to assisting in the merchandising of seafood, prepared foods, cheeses, and pre-packed deli items, as well as supporting the rotisserie chicken area and full-service deli.

You will be responsible for maintaining all sanitation and safety standards within the meat department. This includes inspecting and storing meat upon delivery to ensure it meets company quality standards, as well as cleaning and sanitizing all equipment, display fixtures, and areas in the meat department, including coolers, freezers, and refrigerated display cases. You will also engage with members by making recommendations, answering questions, and preparing special cuts of meat ordered by them.
