This role supports Detachment 1 of the 505th Combat Wing (505 CCW) at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas. The detachment's mission is to deliver joint theater environments and world-class scenario generation and exercise control for operational C2 warfighter training.

About the Role

As an Exercise Plans Contractor, you will serve as an Airpower Integration subject matter expert (SME) within the Army Mission Command Training Program (MCTP). You will apply the unique capabilities of the Air Component to support the year-long planning and execution cycles for five or more major multi-echelon joint complex events annually at the JTF, Corps, and Division levels.

In this position, you will coordinate processes, products, and programs to support ongoing MCTP events. Your responsibilities include integrating functional specialties represented in the Air Operations Center (AOC), Joint Air Component Command Element (JACCE), Joint Air Ground Integration Cell (JAGIC), and Tactical Air Control Party (TACP). You will write and integrate Master Scenario Event List (MSEL) storylines and coordinate joint air-ground integration networks on web-based knowledge management tools.

You will act as a liaison during event execution, potentially positioning forward with the training audience to represent the AOC, JACCE, ASOC/JAGIC, and TACP. Working closely with the Det 1 EXCON Chief and the Chief of Air Power (CAP), you will facilitate high-fidelity air-ground integration supporting Joint Training Transformation Initiatives and Joint National Training Capabilities. You will receive daily guidance from the acting CAP and CFACC, articulating command intent to the MCTP air-ground integration team and the AOC response cell to ensure full Air Component integration.

Hiring Process

Candidates must possess a valid DoD Security Clearance. The role requires proficiency with the AOC TBMCS and exercise planning tools currently used in the operational environment. Successful candidates will be required to attend conferences to represent Det 1 and the Air Component/AOC, coordinating on exercise construct issues with joint MCTP exercise planners.
