This position serves as a Marine Air Ground Task Force (MAGTF) Training Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting the MAGTF Training Command (MAGTFTC) at Twenty-Nine Palms, CA. The primary mission is to support the development, planning, and execution of Force on Force (FoF) training within the Integrated Training Exercise (ITX). You will act as a critical link between the Assessment Team and the Exercise Design and Control Staff, ensuring that training units receive timely, thorough, and informative assessments against Mission Essential Tasks.
In this role, you will provide experienced mentorship to Battle Staff Training (BST) unit staffs and commanders, guiding them in the creation of orders and the command and control of operations. You will serve as a scenario commander when required, driving the planning process and making critical decisions during execution. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing HICON products, writing the Force Evaluation Report (FER), and providing commander-level inputs into scenario development. The work focuses on operational and tactical planning across the Range of Military Operations (ROMO), requiring a deep understanding of adversary forces and USMC warfighting doctrine.
Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance and be able to work on-site at Twenty-Nine Palms, CA. The role requires physical ability to operate in field environments, including mounting/dismounting vehicles, climbing rocky terrain, and working in hot desert conditions. Applicants should be prepared for occasional extended working hours and overnight bivouacs during the execution of Force-on-Force exercises. Travel, both domestic and OCONUS, may be required for training and program coordination.
