About the Role
Peraton is seeking an experienced Data Scientist for its Federal Strategic Cyber group. Based in Chandler, AZ, or Washington, DC, this role is designed to support a 24x7 Security Operations Center (SOC) by designing, developing, and operationalizing advanced analytics and machine learning solutions.
In this position, you will provide technical leadership that translates complex security data into actionable insights. You will partner closely with SOC analysts, threat hunters, and engineers to enhance threat detection, response automation, and operational decision-making. Your work will directly impact the SOC's alert fidelity, prioritization, and response effectiveness by deploying machine learning models and advanced analytics. You will also act as a technical lead or mentor for data science personnel, ensuring that analytics are seamlessly integrated into SOC tools and operational workflows using modern architectures.
