The Chief of Operations is a specialized leadership position designed for high-availability, mission-critical environments. This role serves as the primary point of contact for critical switching events and the Incident Commander for facility emergencies. You will ensure the reliability of the facility's critical power and cooling infrastructure, guaranteeing readiness to support mission needs.
In this capacity, you will lead a 24/7 shift workforce, overseeing complex electrical and mechanical switching operations that must be executed under pressure without impacting the live load. Your day-to-day involves managing a diverse team of in-house and subcontracted personnel, developing training programs for building operators, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for SCADA systems. You will bridge the gap between technical operations and strategic oversight, ensuring seamless shift turnovers, rigorous safety compliance, and the continuous improvement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Candidates must possess an active TS/SCI clearance to be considered for this position. The application process begins with a review of your qualifications against the strict requirements for mission-critical operations and supervisory experience in rotating shift environments. Successful applicants will proceed through a structured interview process to validate their technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, their leadership capabilities, and their ability to handle emergency scenarios.
Fluor is an equal opportunity employer. All qualified individuals will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, age, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, national origin, disability, veteran status, genetic information, or any other criteria protected by governing law.
