As a Senior Server (Captain), you will serve as the on-site leader, overseeing staff and executing events in strict accordance with banquet event orders, notes, and client requests. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between the client and The Wild Thyme Company, ensuring that every event runs smoothly and efficiently.
You will report directly to the Event Manager and Sales Representative, acting as the primary liaison during events. Your day-to-day involves leading a team of servers, managing set-up and breakdown logistics, and ensuring that all service standards are met. From conducting pre-shift huddles to resolving customer complaints through instant pacification procedures, your goal is to enhance customer satisfaction while fostering a cooperative and productive working climate.
Success in this role requires a deep understanding of our company standards. You are expected to uphold our commitment to quality, timing, and safety, while actively mentoring new hires and participating in the training of leads and captains. We value proactive communication, whether it is reporting safety hazards, coordinating breaks, or bringing suggestions for improvement to quarterly Leads and Captains meetings.
To be considered for this position, candidates must hold a current California RBS Certification. This role is essential to our operational success, and we look for individuals who embody our passion for service and leadership.
