About the Role
The Special Projects Estimator plays a pivotal role in our pre-construction phase, specifically focusing on smaller commercial construction projects with a majority emphasis on HVAC, Commercial HVAC, and Sheet Metal trades. Working under the guidance of the Estimating Manager, you will be responsible for providing complete and accurate estimates for assigned bids.
Your day-to-day involves managing the entire estimation lifecycle from the moment plans and specifications are issued until bid day. You will solicit quotations from subcontractors and vendors, review complex construction documents, and assist in developing strategic bid approaches. This role requires close collaboration with the operations team during turnover meetings and the ability to coordinate scope of work between in-house trades. While the position is based in a professional office environment, it also includes site visits to construction and industrial work sites to ensure accurate scope assessment.

Requirements
- verified2+ years trades estimating experience in commercial/industrial construction
- verified1+ years Estimating/Pre-Construction experience
- verifiedKnowledge of computer/network based estimating software (e.g., Autobid, Quote Soft)
- verifiedProficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- verifiedAAS or BS Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related discipline (Preferred)
- verifiedPrior military experience (Preferred)
