About the Role
As an Application Developer, you will support the design, integration, and implementation of large-scale, multi-functional applications. This role is designed to bridge the gap between functional business needs and technical execution, ensuring systems remain reliable, adaptable, and aligned with strategic objectives. You will operate with minimal supervision to drive moderately complex application testing, requirements gathering, process analysis, and quality assurance. The position focuses on delivering smooth, stable, and timely solutions for large and complex application environments, with a strong preference for experience within the SAP ecosystem.
Compensation and Benefits
The expected salary for this position is $69,000 - $105,000, which varies based on location, certifications, education, and experience level. This role is eligible for a discretionary incentive award dependent on company and personal performance. At Cargill, we put people first. As part of your overall rewards, we offer a comprehensive benefit program including medical and other benefits dependent on the position offered and hours worked. Additionally, Minnesota employees accrue sick and safe leave at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, up to 48 hours per calendar year, unless otherwise provided by law.

Nice to Have
Experience with SAP. Hands-on experience with enterprise-scale applications (ERP preferred) in a techno-functional capacity, with exposure to one or more ERP business domains (e.g., Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Agriculture, Finance). Proven experience working on large and complex application implementations (e.g., ERP) across the full lifecycle, including system design, implementation, deployment, go-live, and post-go-live stabilization and support leveraging Agile, Scrum, and/or DevOps practices. Knowledge and/or experience with programming languages such as Java, C#, Python, or platform-specific scripting (e.g., ABAP for SAP) for application customization. Experience with data migration strategies and large-scale data transfers from legacy systems, including ETL processes.
