About the Role

Hartzell is seeking a detail-oriented Saw Operator to operate precision cutting equipment for metal components used in aircraft structures. This role is critical to ensuring that aerospace-grade materials are prepared with the accuracy required for engineering and welding specifications. You will work with a variety of metals, including aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel, ensuring precision cuts that meet strict quality standards and aerospace industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleOperate and maintain band saws, cold saws, and abrasive saws to cut aerospace-grade metals
  • check_circleRead and interpret aerospace blueprints, work orders, and welding specifications
  • check_circleSet up saw machines and adjust feed rates, blade speeds, and angles for optimal performance
  • check_circleInspect and measure cut materials using calipers and micrometers to ensure adherence to tolerances
  • check_circleIdentify and report material defects or inconsistencies that may impact weld quality
  • check_circleMaintain saw blades, lubricate moving parts, and perform routine machine maintenance
  • check_circleFollow strict aerospace industry safety and quality control protocols including AS9100 and NADCAP standards

Requirements
