About the Role

The Mechanic/Electrician I serves as a key contributor to our maintenance team, playing a vital role in supporting company objectives by ensuring equipment reliability to meet production requirements. This position demands a strong mechanical and electrical aptitude, blending the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external customers while also thriving in independent tasks.

In this role, you will be actively involved in upholding Safety, Quality, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) while executing preventive maintenance programs. You will work closely with Engineering, Maintenance Managers, and Master Mechanics on continuous improvement projects and annual plant shutdowns. Your day-to-day involves diagnosing electrical and mechanical malfunctions, performing setups and repairs on complex machinery, and documenting events to ensure the team has the most effective information to solve problems. You will also assist in the installation of new equipment and utilize basic fabrication skills to enhance plant operations.

Working Environment

This position requires the ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to long periods of standing and moving around mechanical parts and conveyors. The setting can be loud and subject to hot, cold, wet, or dry conditions. The role involves lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds, as well as frequent reaching, pulling, climbing stairs, stooping, and kneeling.
