The Equipment Finance Documentation Specialist II serves as a critical liaison between the organization's Equipment Finance division, Capital Markets, and external stakeholders. This role is designed to ensure the seamless execution of equipment lease and loan transactions, from the initial evaluation of documentation requests to the final booking and funding of deals.
In this position, you will navigate the complexities of various transaction types and collateral categories, determining the precise documentation and lien perfection methods required for each. This includes managing UCC filings, titled vehicles, marine (Coast Guard), and aircraft (FAA) transactions. The role demands a high level of precision to ensure all loan and lease documentation aligns with credit approvals, bank policies, and legal requirements for collection and collateral perfection.
You will engage in direct, high-stakes communication with a diverse range of clients, including CEOs, Presidents, CFOs, and business owners, as well as outside counsel and third-party vendors. Your expertise will be essential in negotiating documentation terms and ensuring compliance with banking regulations through the completion of KYC/CIP/CBO processes.
Your work will drive the entire closing process, requiring you to review documentation for completeness, board transactions into the Aspire loan/lease accounting software, and manage post-closing activities. You will handle account maintenance, research, and the preparation of post-closing loan packages, ensuring files are maintained and exceptions are cleared. Additionally, you will coordinate with third parties, outside attorneys, and customers to review and negotiate loan, lease, and sale documents involved in Capital Markets transactions.
The role also involves processing financial operations such as draws (including title updates and inspections), payments, advances, and pay-off quotes. You will be responsible for ordering and reviewing UCC lien searches, determining the necessity of releases or disclaimers of interest, and preparing tickets or wire transfers as needed. Adherence to all applicable laws and regulations governing bank operations is a fundamental aspect of your daily responsibilities.
Candidates selected for this role will report directly to the Equipment Finance Documentation Manager. The selection process focuses on identifying individuals with a strong background in equipment finance within a financial institution, specifically those with at least five years of relevant experience. We are looking for professionals who demonstrate superior customer service skills, the ability to work independently and within a team, and a flexible mindset capable of adapting to change.
We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or veteran status.
