About the Role
OnPoint is seeking a dedicated Accounting Supervisor to lead our financial operations from our Allegan, MI facility. This is a primarily in-person role designed to oversee daily accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all accounting standards and regulations. The position serves as a critical bridge between financial data and operational execution, managing the full spectrum of financial transactions from month-end closes to year-end reporting.
In this role, you will not only manage complex financial functions but also serve as a mentor and coach for a team of accounting professionals. You will be instrumental in implementing new programs and fostering a collaborative environment where staff can grow. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical accounting expertise and leadership skills to maintain robust financial controls and drive the agency's fiscal health.
Work Environment & Requirements
This position requires primarily in-person work on-site at our Allegan, MI facility. Candidates must be eligible for hire without the need for visa sponsorship.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleOversee daily accounting operations and assist staff with monthly journal entries
- check_circleReview invoices and ensure accuracy during month and year-end financial closing
- check_circleEstablish internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions
- check_circleLead month-end and year-end close processes including general ledger operations
- check_circleProvide supervision, mentoring, and performance evaluations to accounting staff
- check_circleEnsure compliance with GAAP and governmental accounting standards
- check_circleSupervise fixed asset inventory, depreciation calculations, and annual physical counts
- check_circleSupervise accounts payable, provider claim payments, and purchasing functions
- check_circleManage grant reporting, budget preparation, and compliance with federal cost principles
- check_circleOversee payroll processing, salary projections, and W-2 distribution
Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent verifiable accounting experience
- verifiedMinimum of three to four years accounting experience
- verifiedKnowledge of accounting principles and standards
- verifiedDemonstrated technological skills
- verifiedCandidates who can be hired with no Visa sponsorship requirements
- verifiedEfficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- verifiedEfficient with electronic medical records (EMR)
Nice to Have
Experience with various software programs and applications, including Microsoft Office, General Ledger, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR). Experience with office equipment including fax machines, scanners, copy machines, calculators, and printers. Lived experiences with mental illness, developmental disabilities, co-occurring disorders, or substance use disorders.
