About the Role
The Senior Fund Accountant serves as a key operational partner for the Meeder Funds and Mutual Funds Service Co., providing high-level support to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our fund operations. This role is designed to bridge daily workflow execution with strategic financial reporting, ensuring that our mutual funds operate seamlessly for our investors.
In this position, you will manage the daily lifecycle of assigned mutual funds, from recording security trades and monitoring accruals to calculating Net Asset Values (NAV) and reconciling shareholder activity. Beyond daily operations, you will play a critical role in regulatory compliance by preparing and filing essential reports with the SEC, including Form N-CSR, N-MFP, and N-PORT, and supporting the Legal Department with annual filings. You will also assist the Director of Fund Accounting in developing operational manuals, evaluating new technologies, and training operational personnel, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accuracy.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree required
- verified2-4 years of Fund Accounting experience
- verifiedProficient in Microsoft Office (specifically Excel and Word)
- verifiedAbility to learn basic fund accounting system
- verifiedSolid understanding of the Investment Company Act of 1940, the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934, and Rule 2a-7
- verifiedIntermediate level knowledge of common stock and fixed income securities
- verifiedIntermediate level knowledge of financial statement preparation
