Key Responsibilities
- check_circleManage complex corporate tax and ASC 740 tax issues as the primary client contact
- check_circleDevelop and implement tax consulting strategies to maximize client benefits and reduce future taxes
- check_circleApply ASC 740 standards to review tax provisions, workpapers, and communicate uncertain tax positions
- check_circleLead marketing, networking, and business development activities within the area of tax specialization
- check_circleAdvise clients on tax implications of business objectives and recommend strategies to minimize tax burden
- check_circleConduct top-level reviews of tax returns and resolve tax issues with clients and assurance teams
- check_circleConduct tax research, frame complex issues, and train team members on research methodologies
- check_circleSupervise associates and senior associates by scheduling workloads, training staff, and providing performance feedback
- check_circlePlan and oversee the tax process including budgeting, staffing, and monitoring engagement timelines
Requirements
- verifiedBachelors degree in Accounting or Taxation
- verified8+ years of prior experience
- verifiedExperience managing ASC740 computations for private and public clients
- verifiedPrior supervisory experience
- verifiedCPA certification, Attorney, or IRS Enrolled Agent
Nice to Have
Masters degree in Accounting or Taxation. Multinational client experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), and Adobe Acrobat. Experience with tax research databases such as BNA and RIA. Proficiency in all tax compliance process software including GoFileRoom, GoSystemRS, Caseware, BNA Depreciation Software, or comparable programs and standard tax workpapers.
