About the University of Cincinnati

Founded in 1819, the University of Cincinnati is a Carnegie 1 institution and one of the nation's best urban public research universities. Home to over 53,600 students and 12,000 faculty and staff, UC combines research prowess with a physical setting described by The New York Times as "the most ambitious campus design program in the country." As the anchor of the Cincinnati Innovation District, UC is a leader in cooperative education, with students earning $94 million annually through paid experiences. The university contributes $10.6 billion in economic impact to the city and $22.7 billion to the state of Ohio.

UC is a mission-driven organization committed to student success and positively transforming the community through scholarship and service. We thrive on innovation, making an impact, and fostering an environment where staff and faculty are key contributors to UC's success.

About the Role

Under the supervision of the Executive Director of Equal Opportunity, the Specialist serves as a vital resource for the entire University community, including students, faculty, and staff across all campuses. This role is dedicated to responding to and resolving concerns related to discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and related conduct. Beyond investigation, the Specialist provides essential consultation, programming, education, and outreach to foster a safe and inclusive environment.

In this capacity, you will serve as a Clery Campus Security Authority. The position requires navigating complex interpersonal dynamics to facilitate conflict resolution, manage concurrent investigations with law enforcement, and ensure compliance with federal and state laws. You will be a key voice in adjudication processes, providing training to hearing panelists and leading sustained dialogues to promote a culture of respect and accountability.

Hiring Process

Current UC employees must apply internally via SuccessFactors. All candidates are invited to apply to be considered for one of multiple vacancies of the same position.

To apply, you must create a profile and submit a complete job application through the UC applicant portal. We are unable to consider "easy apply" applications submitted via other websites. For questions about the recruiting process or to request accommodations with the application, please contact UC HR at jobs@uc.edu.

Equal Opportunity & Culture

UC is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to building a workplace where all qualified applicants receive consideration for employment, including individuals with disabilities and protected veterans. We strive to create an environment that reflects the diversity of the communities we serve. As an E-Verify employer, selected candidates will be required to provide satisfactory proof of employment eligibility through the Federal I-9 process.
