This position is open to current caregivers within the Environmental Services (EVS) Department at Cassia Hospital. The team is dedicated to maintaining the facility and associated buildings in a sanitary, safe, and attractive condition, ensuring compliance with hospital standards and Joint Commission requirements.
You will perform general housekeeping tasks throughout Cassia Hospital, playing a vital role in infection prevention and facility safety. This is a very physical role requiring you to stand and walk for 8 hours constantly, as well as bend, get down and up easily, and lift loads. Success in this position requires good hand dexterity, vision, and attention to detail.
You will be expected to clean and disinfect assigned areas using specific department procedures, utilizing chemicals properly according to Joint Commission and OSHA standards. Your responsibilities include understanding procedures for the proper disposal of infectious waste and trash, handling emergency spills, and adhering to all infection prevention practices, including proper donning and doffing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
