The Great Basin Institute, in cooperation with the US Forest Service, is recruiting environmental DNA (eDNA) lab technicians to support genetic lab work on fish and wildlife species at the National Genomics Center for Wildlife and Fish Conservation. This role is in furtherance of USDA Forest Service goals to generate the best available scientific information to inform forest planning, NEPA, and other federal legislation for National Forest System partners.
This position contributes to GBI's significant positive impacts within the fields of environmental research, education, and conservation.
You will aid in the analysis of genetic samples for projects related to aquatic and wildlife conservation. Working at the USDA Rocky Mountain Research Station in Missoula, MT, you will be part of a team dedicated to advancing conservation science through rigorous laboratory analysis.

Technicians will work 8-hour days, 5 days a week. The work environment typically features a low noise level.
