About the Role
As a Forensic Scientist 2 – Quality Control and Validation Analyst, you will join a dynamic team focused on maintaining the highest standards of laboratory integrity. In this role, you will establish and manage the quality control module within our Laboratory Information Systems Application (LISA). You will be responsible for generating, analyzing, and interpreting technical data using PCR-based methods, including mtDNA sequencing and STR analysis, to support laboratory quality control and validation functions. Your work will ensure the reliability of critical reagents and laboratory instrumentation while producing comprehensive technical reports.
Beyond daily operations, you will serve as a knowledge leader by providing training in laboratory techniques to technical staff, students, and guests. You will also have the opportunity to share your expertise by delivering lectures and participating in courses, symposia, workshops, and conferences on DNA typing, forensic science, and validation projects.

Requirements
- verifiedMaster's degree in Forensic Science or natural sciences
- verifiedBachelor's degree in Forensic Science or natural sciences with 2 years DNA experience
- verified12 semester hours in Genetics, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, and Statistics
- verifiedExperience in Forensic DNA typing (auSTR, Y-STR, or mtDNA) preferred
- verifiedSuccessful completion of background investigation
