The Enterprise Value Director (EVD) serves as a strategic program manager for Johnson Controls, leading the development of large, complex bundled offerings for multimillion-dollar, multi-location projects. This role is critical for driving revenue growth and maximizing margins by delivering guaranteed outcomes through innovative delivery models such as Design-Build, Public-Private Partnerships (P3), Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), and various energy financing structures.
Working in close partnership with the Business Development Director, the EVD acts as the primary architect for the total JCI value proposition. The role involves translating high-level customer objectives into executable programs and contract structures that address business challenges, financial stewardship, and infrastructure modernization. As the main point of contact for project stakeholders, the EVD ensures seamless coordination between engineering, service operations, consortium partners, and delivery teams to deliver projects on time, within budget, and in compliance with JCI governance.
In this position, you will navigate the full lifecycle of project development, from initial concept to final execution. You will engage directly with C-level customer stakeholders to define outcomes and convert them into robust financial and technical frameworks. Your day will involve managing development resources, overseeing external design consultants and strategic vendors, and coordinating closely with construction and service teams to align project scope.
A significant portion of the role focuses on financial and risk management. You will develop comprehensive cost estimates, control scope creep, and collaborate with structured finance partners to secure the necessary funding. Additionally, you will establish key performance indicators to ensure that design and contract structures align with associated risks, while maintaining rigorous documentation and compliance with internal governance processes.
