This position is a 2nd shift role (Monday through Thursday, 4:15 PM to 2:45 AM) located onsite in Asheville, NC. You will work on the production line inspecting blades and vanes, performing over-inspects for operators, and ensuring the highest degree of quality and productivity.
In this role, you will learn to read blueprints, use basic hand gauges, and understand technical standards. You will perform dimensional and visual inspections on parts, tools, and gages, utilizing fixed and variable measuring instruments including automated machines. Your responsibilities include planning and performing inspections based on written procedures, accepting or referring materials for rework, and maintaining detailed documentation. You will also train other operators, provide technical support to the Operations team, and maintain a strong working relationship with leadership. A key goal of this position is to obtain a detailed inspection certification and an inspection stamp.
