This position serves as an English/Humanities Teacher focused primarily on 9th and 10th-grade students at a private Minneapolis High School. The role is designed to support a diverse student population by providing targeted intervention within the regular classroom setting. Working in concert with the school's Title funding, the teacher utilizes assessment data and classroom observations to identify students needing additional support to achieve grade-level proficiency.
Collaboration is central to this role. You will partner with English, History, and Religion teachers to plan and deliver "push-in" intervention support. During daily "Office Hours," you will lead small-group or individualized sessions to improve students' reading, writing, and executive functioning skills. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to data collection and analysis; you will meet weekly with the Intervention Team to review student progress and plan next steps. Additionally, you will attend grade-team and department meetings, prepare daily hours and monthly progress reports for students and parents, and work to increase parental involvement in student success.
To apply, please send your CV and/or resume to Natalie Steen at [email protected].
