Supply Chain Management Inc.1.com (SCMI1) has an exciting opportunity in support of the Southeast Regional Maintenance Center (SERMC) for an Engineering Technician with a mechanical focus. This role is critical to maintaining the operational readiness of U.S. Navy vessels.
The position requires a candidate with a combination of mechanical and electrical disciplines, primarily focused on mechanical systems. You will be responsible for the assessment and oversight of repairs for U.S. Navy ships' compressed air systems and Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (AC&R) systems. Additionally, the role involves interpreting naval engineering drawings and piping diagrams to ensure accurate maintenance and repair execution.
Successful candidates will be expected to independently lead teams of technicians in troubleshooting, repairing, or testing US Naval ship structural and mechanical systems. A key component of the role involves performing Formal material condition assessments (such as TSRA, ICMP, INSURV, or similar) of US Navy ship systems and communicating any troubleshooting issues or assessment findings through official reports.
