R&P Technologies is seeking an experienced Marine Electrician / Technician II to join our team in San Diego, CA. In this full-time position, you will play a critical role in installing, repairing, and troubleshooting electrical and electronic equipment onboard LCS Class Navy ships. This role is vital for maintaining the operational readiness of naval vessels, ensuring that complex systems such as lighting, power plants, audio/video equipment, and antenna systems function flawlessly.
Due to the high-risk nature of working on naval vessels, safety is the top priority. You will be expected to be a responsible individual with exceptional attention to safety precautions, capable of executing plans for electrical installations with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment where flexibility with scheduling is essential to support constant Navy movements and maintenance availabilities.
Candidates must be U.S. citizens and possess the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance. The application process involves verifying your qualifications, including specific Navy Standard Item certifications and relevant experience in ship repair or commercial electrical apprenticeships. Successful candidates will also need to demonstrate the ability to obtain Navy DBIDS security credentials.
