About the Role

Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an Engineer Test in Salt Lake City, UT. In this role, you will be part of a team that designs, prototypes, and implements test hardware and software, integrating tools like LabVIEW and Python into automated test flows. You will create comprehensive test plans and SOPs, configure test benches, and lead customer sample testing to ensure compliance with contract specifications.

Beyond technical execution, you will analyze data to identify trends and drive improvements in manufacturing processes or product designs. You will also play a key role in mentorship, coaching junior engineers and technicians in test methodology and troubleshooting while leading cross-functional workshops to disseminate best practices. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.

Hiring Process & Application

  • US Citizenship is required for all positions with a government clearance.
  • A Secret Clearance is required to start; candidates must be able to obtain and maintain this clearance.

  • This role requires travel, approximately 10% of the time.

Requirements

Nice to Have

RF testing experience, including design and conduct of RF test setups, understanding of SWR, attenuation, frequency translation, and spectrum analysis. Industrial automation experience, specifically with PLCs or industrial test rig controllers. Experience with custom automation frameworks. Experience with LabVIEW (e.g., C++, LabView RT). Active Secret Clearance.
