HII's Ingalls Shipbuilding division is the largest manufacturing employer in Mississippi and a major contributor to the economic growth of Alabama. With more than 11,000 employees, we have spent nearly 85 years designing, building, and maintaining amphibious ships, destroyers, and cutters for the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Coast Guard. As the largest supplier of U.S. Navy surface combatants, we are simultaneously building four classes of ships and have pioneered the development of technologically advanced vessels for the surface Navy fleet for decades.
We are building tomorrow's fleet today. In this role, you will analyze and design sequences of operations and workflows to improve efficiencies within plant and production facilities, as well as optimize equipment layouts. You will establish methods for the maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel, while potentially managing training programs regarding all phases of production operations.
Your work will involve conducting studies on cost control, cost reduction, inventory control, and production record systems. Based on these findings, you will develop and implement plans for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods. You may also assist facilities engineers in the planning and design of new facilities, ensuring that our production capabilities remain at the forefront of naval engineering.
Working at HII is more than a job—it is an opportunity to build a future.
