GE Vernova is accelerating the path to more reliable, affordable, and sustainable energy, helping customers power economies and deliver the electricity vital to health, safety, security, and quality of life. We are driven by a passion for innovation and the opportunity to electrify and decarbonize the world.
This role sits within the System Technologies and Adaptive Intelligence (STAI) team in Gas Power Engineering (GPE). The Advanced Plant Systems Design team is responsible for advanced plant-level systems pre-New Product Introduction (NPI) conceptual design, covering gas turbines and accessories, steam turbines, HRSG, generators, and traditional plant systems. The team works closely with subject matter experts across the engineering organization to develop and deploy advanced system modeling, relentlessly building new product cost and performance modeling capabilities to deliver high-quality product concept assessments.
As an Engineer - Advanced Plant Systems Design, you will bring Gas Power products from conceptual design to new product introduction. You will create, design, and analyze the next generation of competitive Gas Power products, working closely with Product Management to define competitive product requirements, design product concepts, and transition results into NPI programs. Your work will involve defining and creating competitive gas turbine and plant solutions for future investment, performing on-time and technically excellent product concept trade studies, and identifying technology impacts and investment opportunities.
