We are seeking an Engine Controls Engineer to join our rail domain project in Erie, PA. This is an onsite position designed for an early-career professional (1-2 years of experience) ready to apply sound engineering principles to complex vehicle subsystems.
In this role, you will be an integral part of a cohesive design engineering team, executing projects from conceptualization through to final detail design. Your work will involve defining requirements, designing and integrating subsystem functions, and validating Human Machine Interfaces (HMI). You will not only develop technical documentation but also present your work directly to customers during product reviews.
The position offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment where you will work hands-on with high-performance systems. You will engage directly with high horsepower (1000 KVA), medium voltage (2 KV), and high current (10 KA) systems in test labs and on vehicles. A key aspect of the role involves leading or supporting investigations into reliability issues, performing root-cause identification, and driving resolutions to ensure product quality.
