SWJ Technologie specializes in providing engineering, planning, and project management services across various industries. We are currently seeking an Automotive Software Developer for an assigned project with a client in the automotive industry.
This position is designed for a professional eager to grow their career and make a meaningful impact on exciting projects. You will own the full software development lifecycle (SDLC) for Scout functions within the Drive System and Range Extender (REX) domains. Your work will span from requirements gathering and software architecture to release, documentation, and supporting tooling.
In addition to core development, you will develop data pipelines and analytics to process large-scale vehicle and test data. This includes supporting validation, calibration insights, and quality metrics through robust engineering practices.
The role is based in Charlotte, NC and requires an onsite presence. You should be willing to travel up to 20% globally for in-person meetings, events, and project requirements.

Experience with Volkswagen. Willingness to travel globally. Familiarity with model-based design (MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow/auto-code). OBD Mode 01–0A alignment knowledge. Knowledge of AUTOSAR (Classic/Adaptive), cybersecurity (ISO 21434), and performance profiling on embedded targets.
Skills: C/C++, Matlab, Simulink, Stateflow, Can, Can FD, Lin, Ethernet, Uds, Iso 14229.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, or related field required.
