Grifols is a global healthcare company with a legacy dating back to 1909, dedicated to improving the health and well-being of people worldwide. As a leader in plasma-derived medicines and transfusion medicine, we develop, produce, and market innovative solutions across more than 110 countries and regions. Our culture is defined by a family-like atmosphere, and we have tripled our workforce in the last decade, offering a dynamic environment where employees can grow alongside the company.
The Center Medical Specialist is a pivotal role within our plasma donation centers, designed for individuals with a background as an EMT, Paramedic, or licensed nurse. This position goes beyond standard medical duties; it is about enhancing the lives of millions by ensuring the safety and comfort of our donors. You will serve as the medical face of the center, building rapport with donors to ensure a positive experience while maintaining the highest standards of care.
In this role, you will perform physical examinations and establish medical histories to determine donor suitability. A significant part of your day involves providing donor education on general health, counseling on test results, and managing any adverse events or injuries. You will also play a key role in training new employees and administering the Hepatitis Vaccine program. The work requires a balance of standing and sitting, precise hand movements, and the ability to communicate sensitive information to diverse groups in a fast-paced setting.
