Direct Counsel is seeking an Employment & Labor Associate Attorney to join a leading global law firm with a highly regarded Employment & Labor practice. This opportunity is available in Atlanta, Charleston, or Short Hills.
This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of sophisticated employment counseling and litigation matters for local, national, and multinational employers. The ideal candidate will have strong employment law experience, excellent litigation skills, and a collaborative approach to client service.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide day-to-day employment and human resources counseling to clients
- check_circleDraft, review, and analyze employment agreements, employee handbooks, and workplace policies
- check_circleHandle employment litigation matters including lawsuits, class actions, and administrative proceedings
- check_circleManage all phases of litigation including discovery, depositions, motion practice, and trial preparation
- check_circleAdvise clients on sensitive personnel issues, workplace investigations, and policy implementation
- check_circleSupport clients on traditional labor and NLRB-related matters as needed
- check_circleAssist with employment-related due diligence in mergers and acquisitions transactions
- check_circleFormulate litigation and case strategy in collaboration with partners and team members
- check_circleConduct and support internal investigations
- check_circleCollaborate with attorneys across the practice group on additional employment and labor matters
Requirements
- verified2–6 years of employment litigation and counseling experience
- verifiedLicensed and in good standing in the jurisdiction where the candidate will practice
