This position serves as a dedicated investigator within the Employee Relations function, focusing on low to mid-level risk and complexity employment issues. The role exists to ensure fair, impartial, and thorough resolutions to sensitive workplace matters, thereby mitigating organizational risk and upholding a safe work environment.
You will act as a fact-based expert, managing investigations into sensitive topics such as sexual harassment, discrimination, workplace violence, retaliation, and financial concerns received through the CNO ethics reporting site. Your work involves collecting and analyzing employment-related data, preparing comprehensive reports with unbiased findings, and identifying process gaps that could create legal liability.
In this capacity, you will collaborate closely with the Employee Relations Manager, the Sr. Director of ER, and the broader Human Resources team to facilitate complaint resolutions. You will also serve as a key resource during high-volume caseloads, supporting other investigators and participating in departmental projects. On occasion, you may be called upon to testify in unemployment appeals hearings or other formal proceedings.
Candidates selected for an interview will be contacted directly by the hiring team to schedule a conversation regarding their background and fit for the role.
CNO is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background, race, gender, or other protected characteristics.
