About the Role

As an Executive Store Manager, you will serve as the primary leader for the front end and pharmacy operations, working in close partnership with the Store Manager to drive company deliverables. This role is designed for a high-performing leader who is ready to assume full store responsibilities in the Store Manager's absence, ensuring seamless operations, asset protection, and profitability.

You will act as a strategic partner to the Store Manager, leveraging data and team insights to make fact-based decisions that improve sales and customer loyalty. Your day-to-day involves managing the entire store ecosystem—from merchandising and inventory control to cash management and safety compliance—while fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Hiring Process

Candidates selected for this role will be expected to complete the Store Manager learning and development program (LEAP) or Walgreens Leadership Essentials training within 12 weeks of their start date. Successful completion of this program is a key component of your onboarding and development journey.

Key Responsibilities

  • check_circleManage front-end store operations and make recommendations for pharmacy and retail improvements
  • check_circleOversee store cash management, register counts, and bookkeeping procedures
  • check_circleAnalyze inventory trends and create corrective action plans for front-end and pharmacy
  • check_circleTrain and mentor team members on technology systems and standard operating procedures
  • check_circleEnsure compliance with company policies and all applicable laws regarding product sales
  • check_circleCollaborate with external partners to identify community outreach opportunities
  • check_circleMonitor financial data and KPIs to drive store sales and profitability
  • check_circleSupervise customer service associates and designated hitters to ensure operational efficiency
  • check_circleLead team recruitment, hiring, performance management, and disciplinary actions
  • check_circleEngage customers to resolve complaints and ensure a positive shopping experience

Requirements
